The
Challenge
MacKenzie Financial Services Inc. required a display booth that
was unique, transportable and easily configurable.
The Solution
Smyth Fisher designed and fabricated a progressive exhibit system
configurable in formats ranging from: 10' x 20'and 10' x 30' to
20' x 20' and 20' x 30'.
Highlights Details Comments
Designed originally as a 20' X 30' configuration for the RRSP/Mutual
Funds/Financial Planning shows tour, the exhibit can be and is
now used in a variety of configurations. This allows Mackenzie
the flexibility to exhibit in a range of show types from financial
and technological to educational and training.
Once
each year the exhibit is used on a two month, 5-city, nation-wide
road tour for the aforementioned financial shows. It is used again,
as required, two to three times during the balance of the year.
The booth design demonstrates how the high-tech sophistication of Octanorm can be effectively combined with fine millwork to create an intriguing, memorable yet functional custom exhibit.
Octanorm provided a solution for displaying dominant, compelling super- graphics. The backlight images seen here are Duratrans. Because of the dimensions of the overall image area it was not possible to create one seamless output. The Octanorm profiles used created a unique yet functional "tiled" affect, allowing a dominant graphic presentation while providing ease of crating and portability.
Exhibit staffers and visitors are provided ample work area and meeting space, user-friendly computer access areas, a video presentation feature, literature distribution stations, graphic marketing and accessible storage space for literature and personal belongings.
Besides the design and fabrication of our new booth, over the years, I have always appreciated your firm's service and attention to detail. The set up crews at the various venues are always effective in executing your design, which ensures continuity of our image, nation-wide.
The
Challenge
Dayco/Mark IV Automotive required a scaleable custom exhibit that
allowed the display of a wide range of products - from automotive
and industrial to training programmes and even branded promotional
items.
The
Solution
Smyth Fisher designed and fabricated a contemporary, system-based
exhibit that could be configured in formats from from 10' x 10'
to 20' x 80'.
Highlights/Details
This custom exhibit was designed to provide the flexibility to
showcase a wide range products and programmes in an easy-to-understand,
walk-through format.
Octanorm
allowed for an uncomplicated installation of the overall 16-foot
high structure. Octanorm further facilitated the creation of the
8-foot high upper section to provide a visually striking area
for the very important dominant logo registration.
The exhibit was designed on the bias creating an 80' walk-through corridor where visitors can browse and familiarize themselves with the full product line. A combination of Octanorm profiles were used.
A clean look was achieved, which carried over to the dominant
overhead signage and light boxes featuring informative, back-lit
images. Lighting was sensitively positioned to provide a warm,
inviting atmosphere under a full ceiling grid.
Millwork was used to create several showcases and made a complimentary addition to the otherwise all Octanorm exhibit.
Visitors to the booth actually entered the space to investigate the subject of many of the smaller images.Octanorm was also used to create free-standing walls.
The
Challenge
Outokumpu Mintec Canada Ltd. attends
one major trade show each year. They want a First Class image
for each outing without having to incurr the capital expense of
building a custom trade show exhibit. Instead, they prefer to
use a purpose-built custom rentalexhibit.
The
Solution
Smyth Fisher designed and fabricated a unique
20' x 20' display using a range of materials and components from
existing inventory to create a custom rental exhibit that met
the stated exhibiting objectives.
Highlights/Details
This
exhibit was created as a custom rental for a client who exhibits
only once a year, but who wishes to convey a different image each
year.
By combining millwork with the versatility of Octanorm the objective
is met each year.
The exhibit presented here used Structure to create a unique graphic backwall. The half-meter deep structure allowed us to use the back as an overall large-format graphic and the front of the Structure as a place to hang smaller, full-colou, descriptive graphic images.
The back wall, large-format graphics were created in sepia-tone. The combination of many full-colour images in the foreground with the full coverage graphics as a backdrop creates an inviting environment. Visitors to the booth actually enter the space to investigate the subject matter of many of the smaller images. Octanorm was also used to create free-standing divider walls. The overhead, hi-tech grid also addes an arresting design element.
